My ankle is still giving me some grief but today I break in my High Alt boots – new Sportiva double shell boots with super gators – not ideal for ice climbing but needed at higher altitude and extremely cold weather – don’t want blisters the first time out – why not today for breaking them in? It was a little warm for those boots – maybe 0 degrees all day so my feet were warm… okay hot… but they were comfy – better hope so for $900 boots!

So we did two the two multi-pitch climbs today. The famous weeping wall of Moonlight falls Grade 4+ in high alt boots was interesting to say the least - but very very cool! On Moonlight Falls the ice was very sketchy– poor screw placements in brittle ice.
