The winter of 2011-2012 I really felt took my ice climbing skills to a new level, the highlight of the season was indeed the trip to Norway to ice climb the ice of the fjords there. However closer to home we did a lot of climbing in Field BC, Canmore area with a few trips up Mt. Rundle routes, a couple in the Weeping Wall Area and a few other trips around Lake Louise. A great winter – very much looking forward to the next ice season where I hope to take my ice skills to even another level.
Until then, I’ll be focusing on rock climbing and putting the ice axes and screws away til next winter.
